Mugen Releasing 2024 Honda Civic Type R Kit
The current gen Mugen Honda Civic Type R is close to becoming a reality. Mugen, the Honda tuning company, has released some of the upgrades you will find on the new Mugen FL5 Type R. The special performance Civic will have 25 percent more downforce and the wheels will cut down 22 pounds overall.
Among the available mods for the aero kit includes a bold front lip spoiler, side sill, rear under spoiler, larger wing, and other aesthetic upgrades. In addition, there is a new single-exit exhaust tip mounted square in the middle which will be available as an exhaust upgrade for the Type R. Mugen, in collaboration with wheel specialists BBS, is also including 19-inch front and back wheels that are lighter than the stock ones on the Type R.
Other items on the list for the FL5 will include upgraded dampers and two types of performance brake pads (sport and competition). Brakes will be available in late July and the dampers are currently available. The spoiler goes on sale in September while the rims will be available in August this summer. No timeframe has been given for the exhaust yet.
Though these parts are made for the JDM market, the company has worked with US distributors to make them available here. You can order the lip spoiler, side sills and rear under spoiler through King Motorsports, which costs approximately $2,065 altogether.
If you do need replacement OEM parts for your Type R, you can also find them on ours website. We carry 200,000+ OEM recycled parts for a fraction of a new OEM part.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan is getting a welcome refresh that includes more standard equipment, more power, and most importantly faster charging times! The mid-gen refresh will have some subtle but noticeable improvements with additional models debuting like the sedan and Taycan Cross Turismo which is a wagon-like variant with a slight ride height.
The 2025 model will be available this summer with the Cross Turismo arriving later this year. The 2025 Taycan will start with the entry model one electric motor and RWD at $101,395. While this will be a major price bump from the 2024 model, you will receive improvements include heated steering wheel, ambient cabin lighting, lane change assist, a lighter battery, better thermal management, larger charging capacity and ability to charge at higher currents.
Four updated drivetrains will be available for 2025. The base model is 0.6 seconds faster from 0-60 mph in comparison to the 2024 version. The top-model Turbo S, which doesn’t carry a turbo, will produce 938 HP in the launch model, reaching 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, making it the fastest and most powerful production Porsche ever assembled.
If you’re looking for more power. Taycan models with the Sport Chrono package and the Performance Battery Plus will have an overtaking button on the steering wheel for that extra jolt of power. You won’t only feel the upgraded power on this model. You’ll experience a cushion feel with the adaptive air suspension that’s now standard on all models starting this year. For a truly smooth feel on bumpy roads, Porsche is offering an optional Active Ride suspension on all AWD variants.
A lighter and improved battery gives the 2025 Taycan better thermal management and longer range on the road. According to MSN, they expect the Taycan to improve over the 206-248 miles the 2024 model offers. The Taycan already has the quickest charging times for EVS on the market. Porsche explained that charging will go from 10% to 80% capacity in 18 minutes with the 2025 models. For home usage with a 240-volt supply, a full recharge will take approximately 9.5 hours.
Look for it to be available at dealerships this summer.
